With approximately 650 acres of natural area, woodlands, grasslands and wetlands, this park attracts a wide variety of incredible wildlife. The Carson Nature center offers a chance to learn the history of the South Platter River, plants and animals with free admission. Rated one of the “top things to do” in Denver, this park is one of the largest suburban parks in the U.S.

Including 30 acres of botanical gardens, the Hudson Gardens are located on the bank of the South Platter River. Started in 1941, the private garden of Colonel King C. and Evely Leigh Hudson later became public in 1996. With thousands of eye-striking flowers, breathtaking waterfalls and glorious views, this is a perfect park to celebrate a very special occasion. With over 22 gardens, including; the water garden, fragrance garden, and the secret garden; this park is open 365 days a year with no admission fee from November to April, a perfect time to visit, relax and enjoy its romantic surroundings.

Heading into downtown Littleton, the Town Hall Art Center has a local theater showing fine comedies, musicals and plays for over 20 years. What was once an old office building and jail, has now been heavily renovated and opened in 1983 as a performing arts center and art gallery. With close to 150 performances a year, Denver Post rated THAC “one of the most appealing intimate theaters in the region.” Also including a great education program and a cultural classroom, the Actors Playground program offers classes in creative dynamics, acting and stage craft for students 7-17, throughout the year.

This is the primary location to find Littleton’s history, art and culture for the past 30 years. The museum has 39 acres of space, with two living history farms, small lake, a collections center, and a main exhibition and administrative room. Together with four galleries, the Littleton History Museum is one in 700 to be accredited by the American Association of Museums and was cited as one of the top ten local history museums in the U.S.

With a $7 admission and open yearly, come enjoy boating, swimming, water-skiing and excellent fishing on the shores of Chatfield Reservoir. Bring the kids fishing for rainbow trout, perch, smallmouth and largemouth bass - and big walleyes. My biggest walleye caught here was 12.5 pounds! The peaceful environment around Chatfield is great and magnificent views are awesome. Take the family for a picnic and spend the day relaxing while enjoying the views and hiking or biking along the paved paths - or bird watching.
