CASTLE ROCK
Castle Rock is the County Seat of Colorado, and the 19th most populated municipality in Colorado. Founded in 1874, Castle Rock Real Estate has a population of approximately 42,000 and 33 square miles. With a climate known to be one of the Nation’s best, the small town offers a low crime rate, numerous parks and open space and plenty of fresh air! Like so many towns in Colorado, mining was instrumental in Castle Rock's creation. Wooed by rumors of gold, settlers hurried out to take part in the Colorado Gold rush that started in 1858. Unfortunately, there was little gold in the Castle Rock area. However there was ryolite which was used for the exterior of buildings at the time. With the addition of the railroad the town blossomed at started with a land donation south of “the Rock” and the town was born. Now, Castle Rock is a growing town along I-25, boasting great people, great housing and most importantly - great events and recreation.
